Job Summary:) W" U2 _9 b9 B6 n& r1 r4 i8 I7 R
The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials2 A b7 V6 u! W* ?
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials: M1 t6 @% \0 v4 c
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material, p" a- g! R9 r0 s) h% r6 m6 ^
Must be able to work safely at all times* g* |6 R* J( d- |
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently
# k9 X! [- v4 M) r6 M1 G# UPerforms routine housekeeping.
3 N9 {1 @3 v5 a& h, g+ S EObserves and reports any safety issues

High school diploma (Or GED)! q& n' G* ]; G$ \' o' y
Well-articulated and assertive
" s+ ?& B! H; q: KAbility to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization8 A2 N5 k5 H4 T& S: Z3 W# E0 x$ G
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
