Job Summary:
2 I3 l# O! p0 t. F* l& m! oThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials1 V: [. q2 T% M9 o V8 d
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material1 \( f! h. F) L) t+ }+ c3 j, B
Must be able to work safely at all times6 \+ y/ O3 [% a
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently( w9 ^) C9 Z# s; E
Performs routine housekeeping.+ N! |; {5 Y( n- r4 b( H
Observes and reports any safety issues

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly
' C! I6 L: U0 }Metal recycling industry experience is an asset( K( V4 Z8 V" c6 j" c; K: O
Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting
& Y7 H- X7 ]9 V0 a$ rKnowledge of non-ferrous processing
, W3 V! [& h/ A; k; u4 c U" SHigh school diploma (Or GED)5 q9 q" i4 _+ a
Well-articulated and assertive5 n0 _' S3 P+ \2 ?* W
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
