His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary.
6 l/ S/ ]+ O! ]After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home,

As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual 1 V$ Y6 {9 d) Z |# ~
description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been ; {/ e- C7 Z+ ~, A

"I love it," he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having - }( R: u% F5 g7 J9 m1 V
just been presented with a new puppy.

have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed ; S! }* [. D6 n% n/ L6 s$ J9 l0 D$ e
and be thankful for the ones that do. + n/ `- ^: [& P1 ]) o5 v5 M, h
! B2 L, U# q; ~* o& g! n* z! TEach day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I'll focus on the new

Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in.
