Alberta Environment , Edmonton - Provide Albertans with the assurance that specified lands are reclaimed to legislated standards!Reporting to the District Compliance Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that land disturbance activities are constructed, operated and reclaimed to the objectives set by the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (EPEA), regulations and applicable approvals, criteria, guidelines and Codes of Practice. Disturbances include well sites, pipelines, telecommunication systems, pits, quarries or plants, roadway construction and mineral exploration. You will also implement the contract management process from start to finish for the reclamation of projects under the Environmental Protection Enhancement Fund.

U5 ^  c5 p& QUsing your exceptional communication skills you will respond to public complaints, provide the initial follow-up to environmental incidents reported by industry, the public, or referred by other regulatory agencies. In all facets of this position, you will be utilizing your organizational, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.


Qualifications: Related Technical Diploma in environmental management, chemical or biological technology, civil engineering or water resource technology plus extensive land reclamation related experience. Equivalencies may be considered. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and a valid Class 5 driver's license are required. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary.
